| 1. Join Flashmaps in Helping the People of Haiti |
|
| Like many of you, the entire Flashmaps team is deeply concerned about the people of Haiti
and their well-being, after a series of earthquakes rocked the "Pearl of the Caribbean" a few weeks back. We feel that
it is our obligation to do everything in our hands to help out during this trying time of need. As a result, we have
decided to donate to the American Red Cross 10% of the map
license fees for all projects sold during the months of February and March. |
|
| | | |
|
| We take the liberty to encourage you to donate directly whatever you can at
http://american.redcross.org. We all should lend a hand to those most in need of our help. |

| 2. Fortune Companies Like Flashmaps |
|
| It is always our pleasure to serve any client. This may sound commonplace, but it's absolutely true in our case.
We love to listen to the special requirements of our clients, and put our knowledge at their service, by offering them our best
solutions and working hard to make them real. |
|
| This year we are especially pleased to see that many of our clients have done so well that they are listed really
high in the Fortune 500 list. Up to 20%
of the top 50 companies already benefit from Flashmaps products, so congratulations to all of them. An even more impressive stat is that,
out of this list, 2 of the top Fortune 10 companies also rely on us.
|
| But don't think we only work for the big guys. We are pleased to work for companies of all sizes and industries, including home businesses or startups. Check our client list to see who in your industry is already using Flashmaps solutions. |
|
| If you are in need of any kind of map for your website or your intranet, call us at 1-866-392-0071 to share your thoughts with us. Through our solutions and our work we will bring your best project to life. As our motto goes, our job consists of "Pushing the Limits of Mapping". |

| 3. Export Your Maps to JPEG |
|
| Many clients have been asking us how they can insert maps in their documents
or presentations. Until now, this was a bit tricky, as one had to capture a screen shot and edit the image with a program
like Photoshop, in order to reach the results desired. |
|
|
|
Fortunately, this process is no longer necessary. We now offer an "Export-to-JPEG" feature that can be added to
your project, allowing you to obtain, with a single click, a JPEG copy of the map which can be saved directly to your computer.
Any content visible within the map will be exported along with the cartography, allowing for the lines and text to be shown on
the final graphic file. Rejoice all Word and PowerPoint enthusiasts! |

| 4. AreaSelector: Much More than Areas and POIs |
|
| AreaSelector, one of our flagship products, has evolved a considerable deal over the course of the last few months.
If you look at its first versions, it has very little to do with the newest projects we are putting together. This evolution has allowed us to
cover all kinds of areas that were not initially available, and add a full array of amazing features. This product line has been used within
never-imagined applications.
|
Probably one of the main new benefits of AreaSelector is its ability to display any kind of spatial data
on top of the map. Besides the traditional coverages (continents, states, counties, congressional districts, MSAs, area codes, zip codes, etc.),
these are some of the items now available to be displayed by your AreaSelector:
- Roads: Interstates, US Highways, State Routes etc. All of them with intelligent road signs so you can always know where you are.
- Hydrography: Rivers (as lines or as polygons) and lakes.
- Railways.
- National Parks, Preserves, Recreation Areas, etc.
- Custom lines, polygons or images: bike or touristic routes, recreational areas, city connections, weather-related images, etc.
|
|
| In many cases you only have one shot to make an impression on a user. Some of these overlays may seem trivial,
but can make all the difference between a useful map and a useless one. See exactly what we're referring to in these examples or call us at 1-866-392-0071 for more information. |

| 5. DynamicLocator Helps You Find It |
|
| We are very pleased to see how many uses our clients find for DynamicLocator, our powerful low-scale mapping solution.
For example, our client Boston Computer Scanning is integrating DynamicLocator into their
search tool for city cemeteries. This allows users to easily locate graves by means of a fast and intuitive search mechanism. The result of the
search focuses the map on its plot, where you can get more specific information about the graves within a pop-up box. Check this sample. |
|
| Ski resorts, golf courses, conference venues, marinas, malls, large factories, office buildings, warehouses, casinos, you name it!
Applications for DynamicLocator are endless. Call us at 1-866-392-0071 and find out how it can help you.

| 6. Case Study: Zolve (by Brian Wilson) |
|
| | The Zolve Referral Network consists of 8,000 real-estate professionals from seventy-four countries around
the world. Their founder Brian Wilson describes Zolve as "an online professional network for real-estate agents and professionals where
they can share ideas and refer clients to one another." |
|
| When asked about his first-hand impressions of the product and services Flashmaps
offers, he replied, "Top notch. The software is solid and very scalable. It also looks great, which is important on a customer-facing
website." Brian also states that the project we prepared for Zolve "has allowed us to offer a method of managing a professional network
in a way no other website has done." He goes on to state that co-workers and users "love the map. They say it looks great, loads quickly,
and has an easy interface." |
|
| Brian also mentioned that "hands down, nothing beats interactive features and intuitiveness when it comes to
offering information via a map. After having the project setup, there is no way I could have imagined representing our data in any other
fashion. The map really brings things to life, and takes things one step beyond just by having a bunch of drab statistics posted on the
site.". For further information regarding Zolve, please click here.
