DB Mapper is a high-quality, innovative system that allows you to map all of your database listings. It provides flexible and powerful links from your databases to the map (e. g. find or highlight any listing in the map), and from the map to your database (e. g. click on the listing in the map and display extended info from the database). If your project requirements are not street level mapping or if your customers would prefer that their project not contain Flash, then the DB Mapper may not be the best tool. The AreaSelector product offers a useful alternative to street level mapping by displaying world, country, and state etc level detail. In the case that you are only interested in mapping one or two locations, FindMe! Dynamic would be the best solution. If your customer would prefer a Flashless project we would recommend trying FindMe! Static.

DB Mapper is intended for companies who need to map multiple locations, e. g. a real-estate business, a restaurant guide, a hotel reservation service, etc.

FindMe! Dynamic and DB Mapper provide a very similar interactive experience. While the FindMe! Dynamic is based on a single location on the map, the DB Mapper allows you to map any number of locations or points of interest.

Embedding DB Mapper into your website is a piece of cake. A running html file is provided along with the maps, so that you can easily test your project and cut & paste the html code into your own web pages

Inside your DB Mapper are included several tools to geo-code (for receiving the lat-long coordinates) for each address of your databases. The possibilities include being able to perform a batch process of your whole database, to using a visual tool that lets you drag & drop the listings on the map. DB Mapper are flash binary files (.swf), which makes them compatible with Studio MX, Dreamweaver MX, Flash MX, Contribute, Breeze, Flex, Central, and Cold Fusion. Please note that you cannot launch them from Freehand or Fireworks.

We cover the entire US territory (all 50 states and the Federal District of Columbia), including U.S. Possessions and Freely Associated States (Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Midway and other Minor Outlying Islands).

You can customize the map in several ways, but you cannot modify the layout of the map itself; we would have to do that for you. We have a cartography department available for such jobs at very reasonable fees.

Based on our experience, we believe driving directions are not useful for our clients. Potential visitors to a company's facilities do prefer a well written text explaining how to get there from different highways or city districts to a driving directions service. Please note that virtually all big companies, including those running mapping services like Microsoft or Yahoo! opt for providing written instruction on how to get to their facilities, rather than relying on their own product's driving directions. Furthermore, we pride ourselves on provide 'Pay once, use forever' licensing, which would not be possible if driving directions were offered. Unfortunately the only way to offer driving directions would be by subscribing to a third party's services, whose licensing is based upon a per hit usage. Integrating such a solution would ultimately increase the prices we offer our clients.

Yes, visitors require Flash Player 8 to view DB Mapper maps. It is estimated that over 98% of connected systems already have it installed. If a user is not running this version, they will be prompted to install it.

The prices offered are for web builders. Note that, for a final client, a resale margin and project integration costs may be applied by the web builder. This is why the final cost of a project may vary from one case to another.

DB Mapper is really affordable and we encourage you to browse Pricing for more details. Remember all prices are on "Pay once and use forever" licenses. That means no renewal fees.

DB Mapper is licensed for one production domain and one developmental domain. You can display your project as many times as you like on any page or any sub domain inside of the registered domain. You may purchase additional domains at a cost of 10% of the original map license fee for each one.

You only pay once, just like with any regular software. There are no additional monthly, annual or per-hit costs.

No, those names appear only in the area located next to the map's center. As the user zooms out, only main-street information is displayed.

All FindMe! Maps reach as far as the perimeter of a given city. If you would like a map that displays larger areas we recommend using DB Mapper.

Yes, you can. In fact, we recommend you include a link to your 'Map & Directions' page where the map is embedded. This is an excellent way of including very useful information as required without overloading anyone's in-box.

We only use a street's official name. Our cartography department can modify any street name at very reasonable fees.

Once purchased, your DB Mapper Pack (i. e. system and data) is downloaded and hosted on your web server. Our maps allow you to be self-sufficient so you do not depend on Flashmaps or any other third-party.

Yes, really easy. Ample documentation and sample data accompany every DB Mapper Evaluation Pack and any purchased project. Among other things you will find samples of XML files, extended info pop-up, and JavaScript functions.

We keep our databases as up-to-date as possible, but due to constant change, occasionally there may be sections that become outdated. Our cartography department would be more than happy to modify any discrepancy for a reasonable cost.

The yellow color denominates a city's main roads.

The red and green colors refer to highways, where the red takes precedence and indicates roadways of higher importance.

DB Mapper consist a series of pre-built maps and other files in Flash format, swf files. No mapping server is required, so it runs on literally any web server, namely Cold Fusion, Jrun, Apache, IIS, etc.
